He was able to combine his own feeling of handling aircraft
with a huge intellect to develop a set of Handling Quality Criteria which
remain unrivalled in the aircraft industry.
His perseverance to develop these Handling Quality Criteria
are directly responsible for the superlative handling of Jaguar FBW, EAP. and
now Typhoon.
I am back in the FJT and it is with immense pleasure and
pride that I see John's work applied daily during design and clearance.
