It was with great regret that we heard of your father's passing.

John was a great friend and a true gentleman and we shall miss him greatly.
We were among those who knew him at Samlesbury - even did one winter with him at Squires Gate - and his great knowledge and ability to share that will always stay with us, along with that deliciously dry sense of humour. I shared the SD3 with he and Keith for many happy years, and after he found himself on his own I hope some of the holidays we spent with him and the aircraft away at other clubs helped him find himself again.

They don't make them like that any more.

It is unlikely that we will be able to make Edinburgh, but be sure our thoughts are with you and the laying to rest of a very gallant gentleman.

With all our good wishes,

Dick and Lena Seed
